Bringing together such intimate work as sketchbooks, personal memorabilia, annotated typescripts, short essays, home movies and near impossible to find archival work, THIS LONG CENTURY serves as a direct line to the contributers themselves.
Fascinating and insightful would describe this website very well, pretentious would be the pessimists choice. Either way there's no denying that a rare glimpse into the mind of any artist can be hugely beneficial to your own work. Or you may just scoff. That's how art works right?
From a completely different web design point of view, I'm dazzled at how they've managed to use both Times New Roman and Courier to create an attractive, minimalist design.
Now that's magic.
