Lettering.js - A jQuery plugin for radical web typography.

Web type is exploding all over the web but CSS currently doesn't offer complete down-to-the-letter control. So we created a jQuery plugin to give you that control.

The script allows for things like type kerning by basically splitting each character (or word, or line) into its own span element - where CSS can be used to adjust positioning. It's a simple but powerful concept and has a lot of room for expansion.

Hopefully the continuing evolution of CSS3 will negate the need for JavaScript hacks. For now this sort of attention to detail may make Lettering.js a worthwhile investment.
